Near the Great Lakes we get all the weathers, in short spates.
Deep freezes, hurricane remnants, droughts, day-long downpours, tornadoes, swelters, ice storms, fog, wind storms, and pleasant days.
Most years, most of those.
Odd then that for a month now in the middle of the summer we have weeks now of clement weather when reports from all over the world tell of harsh and even unsurvivable weather. From not so far away, too.

Here, some heavy rains at times …
And this too won’t last.
